This should technically be “How Much Did Slovakia and Poland Cost” because we kept crossing the border depending on where we were hiking. But since we were predominately in Slovakia that’s what I am going with. The prices below are from our week in the High Tatras.
As you can see we did pretty well on this stop and that’s thanks to the fact we were staying in a pretty remote town in Slovakia. There were some gorgeous mountain towns in the area where I am sure we would have spent more money if we would have stayed in one of them. The biggest money saver by far was the food and drinks because we made every meal ourselves. Breakfast was eggs and a banana, lunch was a sandwich while hiking, and then Caitlin made dinner for us each night. Not only were we eating in but when you have limited kitchen supplies then your meals also tend to be pretty simple (ie chili and rice dishes). Overall, another good stop for our budget.
