This cost sheet is one of the more impressive ones and so much so, I still think I miscalculated somewhere. The good thing about Budapest is that we were back off the Euro which usually translates to saving money. For the most part everything we saw, ate, and drank was less expensive. Even the dentistry seemed to be fair! Check it out:
The reason I am so impressed with this particular cost sheet is that we came in under budget for a week’s stay. That includes $100+ on fixing Caitlin’s tooth and $150 for the baths/spa. Those are big price tags considering our goal is $110/day. One key item that kept the price low was lodging, yet again. We had an incredible place on AirBnb for $32/night. The other key item was eating in. We ate the majority of meals in-house, which saved us a buttload of money. We not only enjoy cooking, but it also frees up cash for us to go have drinks at awesome bars and pubs before we cook those dinners. Win Win!
Long story short, Budapest is an awesome city and if you can’t make your dollar go far here then you aren’t doing something right.
