Poland was the best we have felt leaving a country as it pertains to money. We were just coming off the Netherlands and Germany where we did great but had assistance. In Poland we were back to fending for ourselves. Prices below are from our time in Warsaw and Krakow.
As you can see above, lodging got us off on the right foot. Only having to spend $265 for 7 nights is incredible. AND that is in private apartments, not in a room within someone’s house. Food and drinks are usually one of our higher expenses but we ate in a lot and drinks were very affordable so that helped out tremendously. The only addition to the cost sheet was some additional transportation costs because we started using Uber again, thanks to how affordable it was (that wasn’t the case in the western European countries).
All in all we LOVED Poland and prices definitely have something to do with that. If things are cheaper, then we are allowed to go out and enjoy the city more and if we are able to go out and enjoy the city more then we will probably think more highly of it.
