Highlights - Tirana might not have the most touristy things to do but it was a great spot for us during the holidays with a lot of bars and restaurants. Berat was very picture friendly and climbing to the castle at the top provided some incredible views.

Summary - Albania most likely isn’t on a lot of people’s list as a must visit spot. BUT if you are in the area and maybe even trying to get down to Greece then don’t just pass through Albania.

Suggestions - The main suggestion would just be to visit this country if you have the time. You probably will struggle finding enough to do if you plan a whole trip around Albania but it shouldn’t be ignored if you are on a long trip in Eastern Europe. Tirana was a fun big city, Berat was a charming little town, and there are plenty of hiking opportunities when the weather is nice.
