Highlights - Bulgaria is ancient… literally. Each city we visited had so much history and physical ruins to visit. Our favorite cities were Veliko Tarnovo and Plovdiv.

Summary - Strictly speaking from a financial sense, you could spend a lot of time in Bulgaria. It is super affordable. There might not be as much to do as it pertains to tourist attractions but there are beaches, mountains, and a lot of ancient history so plenty of activities outdoors.

Suggestions - Go to Varna during the summer (beach season). Otherwise it’s probably not worth your time.
