Dates Visited - November 2016
Highlights - Kayaking on Milford Sound, Bungee jumping the Nevis, Everything about Queenstown.
Summary - Incredible. Pictures do not do New Zealand justice. We credit this trip as the inspiration for our RTW trip.
Suggestions - Rent a car. DON’T rent a campervan with more than 1 person. Try and hit both islands. Don’t let people scare you into thinking it’s too expensive. Self guided hikes, AirBnbs, and grocery store food alone will greatly cut down on prices.
Notes - This trip was prior to our RTW trip so you will find a different style of blog.
The day in which we hurl ourselves off one of the highest bungee jumps in the world.
We finally get to see Mt. Cook, then take off for Queenstown (new favorite city alert).
Nasty storm in the mountains, so more of a catch up post on what we've learned about New Zealand vs. America.
Traveling to stay at the base of New Zealand's highest mountain to hike lakes and glaciers.
The day in which we fall in love with Kaikoura and Caitlin tries to kidnap a lamb.
Day 4 has us crossing from the North Island to the South, and driving up a mountain to stay in a bus.
Day 2 has us on the road to dark water rafting in the Waitomo caves, and cruising around Lake Taupo.
Caitlin and I are taking the trip of a lifetime to New Zealand, and my parents eventually wore me down by asking me numerous times if we would be blogging...
A weekend of hiking to tunnels, the most photographed lake in the world, and a big ol' glacier.
