Dates Visited - January 2020

Highlights - Obviously the pyramids were a once in a lifetime site to see. However, the highlight for us was the Valley of the Kings. The tombs were so beautiful and detailed and it just blew our minds. If you go to Egypt we highly suggest you don’t skip Luxor.

Summary - What a confusing place. The history and sites are undeniably great. The chaos of everyday life though was something we were not prepared for and had never experienced. We never felt unsafe but just constantly alert because if you aren’t alert then you will literally get run over. If you are wanting a relaxing vacation then this probably isn’t the place for you.

Suggestions - Go to Luxor. You need some type of tour for transportation from one site to another in Cairo and Luxor. However, the tours we had weren’t exactly loaded with must know information. So if you can find a bigger tour group that brings the price down or even just transportation and do your own research then we would suggest that.
